Need your thoughts on an idea I have!

You have probably already set your pool since you were asking about this 2 weeks ago. If so, how did things go? We will hopefully be setting our pool in the next couple of days and I have been thinking about how to keep the feet from slipping outward on the paver's. I've come up with the idea...

Someone with experience and/or an engineering mind, please!

Ok, I am beyond frustrated! I am still trying to level this 20' diameter clay/gravel pit that we had "roughly" excavated about 1'. I have been spinning my wheels out there for weeks trying to get the bottom level for our 18'x52" Intex Ultra pool. I was leveling with the lowest point, when I hit...

I really really appreciate the encouragement of someone who understands the horror of what I'm dealing with.

Non pool store solution for raising TA

My bad???? Kit not strips! Learning a lot(being deprogramed) fast. Agreed...need to go to pool school and will after I get this stupid clay leveled and give my teenagers any hope of swimming in our back yard this season. As it stands right now, after last nights storms, they could host a giant...

Non pool store solution for raising TA

Ok, thanks. We went on last night looking for ways to soften her hard well water that we thought was causing extreme calcium buildup on the cell. Using the "search" we ended up reading thread about someone with SWG who is deliberately increasing CH. Misunderstood what what he was being told...

Non pool store solution for raising TA

Topics Merged. Please don't double post. Bama I am asking for a friend who is registering in order to submit ??s. The first submission must be reviewed before being posted so I'm asking her first question. She has a 20x48 Intex Ultra with SWG. We just learned that her high ph and the calcium...

18x52 Intex Ultra paver placement question

Thanks for your advice. We're little south of KC. There's still a lot of HARD clay/mixed with gravel left over from our build at 1'. Do you have any idea how far it usually extends down, or does it vary a lot? I've been wetting it to shave it with a really cool weeding blade tool. I am surprised...

18x52 Intex Ultra paver placement question

Finally ready to place pavers. We had a 19' diameter hole dug 1' deep into hard clay.Retained ground with thick galvanized sheet metal and CCA 2' 2x2's. I have 18 6x6 pavers to set uprights on. My question is does anyone know the exact diameter of where the feet end up once the pool is filled? I...

Not the first post I hoped for!

A small leak the very first time up doesn't seem to be uncommon. It happened with our first Index pool. If you have located it, it should be easy to fix. The patch works well under water, just make sure to line up the blue squares so its not noticeable.

Any advice about making Intex Ultra more rust resistant?

The T's and horizonals look especially susceptible to rust at the welds. The legs look fine except a little where they fit into the feet. I just cleaned inside the horizonals by tyeing twine onto the middle of a magic sponge and duct taping/covering a bolt onto the other end of the twine. I fed...

    New Intex Owner

We had the same problem with our blue 15x48" metal frame pool 5 yrs ago. We about panicked, when we noticed the water on the tarp when it was almost completely filled for the first time. We took an old blanket and dried it completely to make sure it wasn't splashed out from filling. We were able...

Any advice about making Intex Ultra more rust resistant?

I bought an 18x52 Intex Ultra last fall to replace the blue Intex we had for 5yrs. Long story, but I ended up having to locate/buy all the horizontals and upright poles. I have the brand new T bars(only part of frame included in the new in-the-box pool that I was assured was complete) Because...

    intex ultra frame help

We had a 15 x 48" Intex for 5yrs. It never failed that a few legs would be a few inches off(perfectionist thingy would raise it's ugly head, if water level didn't hit same level of liner tiles all the way around) I found a super easy way to tweak the water level on my every whim. I would use a...

    Desperate to find parts!

I'm in KC. Thanks for the tip about searchtempest.com. Definitely reduced the stronge urge to obsessively search out every City/Town and podunk Village within an absurd drive time. I did find a 2yo 16 x 48" pool with a yr old 1600 gph sand filter for $250. I'm making the 4hr trip tomorrow to...

    Desperate to find parts!

We have a huge problem. I bought an unused 18x52 Intex Ultra pool from a "sweet old man" on Craigslist last fall. He assured me that although the box had been slightly damaged that he had checked and everything was there and undamaged. Unfortunately, I think the "sweet old man" must have used...
