Anyone having trouble with newer expansion plugs leaking after blowing out lines?

I get my plugs at Leslie's pool supply. Haven't bought any new ones in a few years but never had any problems with the old ones.

Polaris 9550 Sport Marring Vinyl Liner

Bummer, I have the same cleaner never had that issue. Can you make it come up in a different area ? We lift ours right against the wall and it comes straight up.

    Huge Chlorine Demand Post Conversion

What kind of filter do you have? I remember when we did the conversation from Baquacil, after the conversion was done, we changed the sand in our filter. It was the worst looking sand, it almost looked like a big piece of plastic.

How would you manage a solar cover on this pool?

When we roll up our solar cover onto the reel, we put a tarp over it during the day. Our last solar cover lasted a lot longer by doing this. They still don't last that long, but we get an extra year or two by covering it. They say it's the sun beating down on it when it's rolled up that...

Old maytronics dolphin dx5 -can I replace bag filter with a cartridge?

Hi, welcome to tfp! I highly doubt you could change that bag filter to a mesh basket type filter. Your cleaner looks to be pretty old. I used to have one like that and it worked well for what it was. The basket filters on new robots are really easy to clean compared to a cloth bag.

    Visible algae and 0 FC

Hi Elizabeth, Sounds like you need to get a SLAM going asap. Click on the link that Allen provided up above and follow the steps. In the future I would recommend testing your water more frequently so your free chlorine level doesn't drop below your target. Good luck and post back to let us...

    Leaking pool pump

What kind of pump do you have? It's possible it might just be that you need a new gasket for the pump basket lid. I've had that happen before. I just turned off the pump, removed the gasket and took it to Leslie's to get a new one.

    Polyquat 60 At Closing?

We close late September and open late May. I used Polyquat 60 one time. I didn't see any difference so decided to not use it again. We always open to no algae (lots of worms and snakes though, ick!).

How likely are pets (cats) to suffer salt poisoning?

For this reason especially, we keep our cat on a harness and leash when we take her outside. I remember a couple of years ago there was a squirrel that drank from the pool on a daily basis. I put one of those aluminum foil throw away pans full of fresh water out for it, but it still preferred...

    Robotic cleaner

Some credit cards offer an extended warranty of 1 or 2 years for free. My credit card offers a 2 year extended warranty and when my pump died, they reimbursed me for the price I paid for it. Just something to keep in mind.

    Pool closing help needed

You could try a rubber plug (has a butterfly screw in it), I believe a size #11 might work. We have 1.5" lines and we use those plugs to close the openings left when we store our SWG for the winter. I have found them at Leslie's pools. Here's what they look like: Amazon.com: Technical...

    Bromine with high bather load

Hi I would not use bromine. It does not do a good job of sanitizing. Stick with liquid chlorine or a saltwater generator. Edit: Oops, didn't realize I was in the spa forum, thought I was in the pool forum  . So I honestly don't know how bromine would be for a spa. I believe Bromine may...

Once it's filled, take a reading. Then balance your water and you should be good to go.
