    pump for slide?

We're going to get a custom slide made for our pool. So far about 30 feet long coming from an upper deck. The water coming to the current slide may be too small of a flow. The current specs say 200 gpm. Anybody out there got such a slide? Would a booster pump intended for a cleaner do the job...

    Problem with Aqua-Rite

hmmmm... I've never seen 'hot' on the display. I don't even see it in the manual: http://www.haywardnet.com/products/manu ... ual239.pdf Since there are only two wires I would suspect that either 1) the flow switch or the cell would need to be replaced or 2) the box is overheating? "The control...

    Problem with Aqua-Rite

The aquarite should stabilize at a higher number, but is it high enough? You'll need 2700ppm for it to function properly. 40 lbs seems to bring my 11000 gallons up about 400 ppm. See what your instant salinity is using the black button on the aquarite... 5 clicks and that number on the display...

    Problem with Aqua-Rite

We just jumped in our pool for the first time this season today. We have an aquarite too. The water was 79 according to the aquarite, but the kids didn't care... too cold for me. Upon opening the aquarite, there were some lights lit. The inspect cell light was steady. The avg salt was reading...

Hole in panel, how do I open DE filter w/o decapitation??

I have a pentair DE filter. During final construction work there was a storm and lots of mud got into the pool, which the DE got out, but clogged. I took it apart to clean it better... I see now that I could have just taken out the assembly and washed it down assembled, but I took off wing nuts...

    Hand Rail Install?

I think the handrail also has to be part of the pool bond or grounding. If you're nearing the end, you'd better hurry... the mounting bracket needs to be in before a deck is poured. We just completed a build and the rail you describe was $400 for our install and the builder was very good with...

    Calcium for a Vinyl liner?

Being the nerd that I am, I read all the papers I'm given. The liner was installed on our new pool build yesterday. It is filling as I type. I was stunned  to read this on the back of the liner warranty registration form: "proper water balance... calcium hardness: 200 ppm minimum"...

    heat pump installation

We're nearing the end of a pool install. The heat pump was placed today and is a Jandy. I'm used to a gas heater and the one at our old pool needed and had a 'fireman's switch' for the timer to shut off the heater 20 minutes before the pump to allow a cooldown of the heater. This heatpump book...

    mcmeekin pool build

The PB is coming along. The special step slowed them down. It came in later than expected. Now the waiting game is the coverstar automatic cover. After the retaining wall was done, the excavator digging the pool and grading for the patio got into the gravel and hit the wall blocks from behind...

    Heaters

I'm about to begin a new pool. We moved to a new home and had to leave behind our old one that we build 5 years ago. We're in SC. Our old and new pool was/will be a 14x28 rectangle vinyl lined IG. 11-12000 gal 3-5 foot depth. We had a gas laarslite2 gas heater at the old house. It heated it up...
