ok I admit I didn't do any testing after I tested the FC and it was 1 and I saw some algae I started pouring jugs of bleach in....just tested and I stopped at 30 drops (FC 15) and it was still bright red. Are the other tests like CYA valid with FC so high? Do I need to do all the tests now and...

do i need to let the chlorine level go down and start over? if so what clorine level do i need to let it go down to before I test pH and do all the other tests? thanks!

here are my numbers tonight after adding CYA and muriatic acid last weekend. based on the numbers now any suggestions? Also my pool pump gauge stopped working 3 weeks ago - shows pressure at 5 when pump on and off it doesn't move....I guess I need to get a pool company to come just to change...

thought I possibly saw some algae last night so I dumped a jug of clorox in and got FC up to 13.5. Also have ran pump nonstop and cleaned with robot and brushed down sides. Tonight when I looked at pool I see one small line of what may be green algae I guess... Pool looks pretty clear to me...

the underground water thing is a berkeley 10sn shallow well jet pump so nevermind on that its not going to help.

there is a pump thing that pumps underground water out near my regular pump. they pool guy said it was a good thing to have. maybe it can be used to pump out water or is it only for the underground water - pool guy said to use it after a big rain. I can plug it in but don't know how to turn...

I just closed off the skimer and the water is still coming out of the drain in my backyard? I guess I need to get a sump pump does it come with a hose to get the water all the way to the street?

thanks for the info guys! I'll try what you said Skippy. When I just turn it to waste and turn the pump on the water comes up out of a drain in my yard and floods it so I can only do a little at a time and it would take weeks to remove 1/3 pool water lol. I'll try your method.
