so I shouldn't be trying to reach the swg levels in slam? I should be shooting for the regular pool level of 30 CYA FC 12

I guess my concern is that my CYA is so low, and the SWG Pool Chlorine / CYA Chart shows it starting at 60 CYA and shock level of FC @ 24. Should my shock level be lower b/c of the low CYA, or am I still striving to reach FC shock level of 24 when slamming?

Thanks. One more question, I had heard combined chlorine should be at 0.5 and if higher, it is using FC to kill say an algae or something. I guess my question would be how is CC decreased without lowering FC below a safety of 1.0? its fun to mix the chems and test, kind of like high school...

thanks. is it ok to swim in the pool and just add bleach daily till my test kit arrives? I have 10% bleach in gallon jugs I purchased @ Walmart. I was just worried that my chlorine level was too high post shocking it.
