We got new equipment last summer. If you look closely there is a spigot on the supply line run in to the filter. Due to our monsoons today in Scottsdale...I have been draining water all day. That spigot comes in handy!!!!

I got 4 gallons at walmart for $10.00 and it was made July 6, 2021 in California and stored on an inside shelf in lawn and garden. I should be good to go.

The overflow drains are usually grates. Google the overflow drain and you can see a photo.

Yes agree....I was using the wrong tile line to judge the level. I wasn't even close to overflowing.
