Pool Deck Drain Repair - DIY?

Hey all! Noticed that my deck drain runner here on my patio has been deteriorating over the years. I've googled and everything I keep seeing is basically using an angle grinder/recip saw to take out the existing drain and replace it whole. Do they sell just essentially replacement top covers for...

    Polaris 360 Wheels Herky-Jerky?

This was it! I went ahead and replaced all the bearings (and almost lost one of those stupid e-clips in the process). Also, replaced the blue top cover as it was cracked and threw on a new tail, so $60 to fix up and runs perfect again and should get me a good nother 5+ years :) Thanks all!

    Polaris 360 Wheels Herky-Jerky?

Hmm okay I'll have to do a full taking apart then and check everything. I had taken the top off to check the wheels but didn't see any debris or anything. I'll take a closer look this time. Holy those rebuild kits are expensive. I mean over the years I've just been buying smaller parts for the...

    Polaris 360 Wheels Herky-Jerky?

Polaris 360 has had some issues lately not moving. At least 10 years old, but I've replaced little things here and there on it, but have never seen this problem here. Not sure how to describe the wheels... but they go-pause-go-pause.. herky jerky ish. Video below. Went back in my Amazon orders...

Cement pad under pump - okay or need to be fixed?

I had one quote prob 3 years ago look at it when I was just gauging price and they said it'd cost more cause they couldn't let things drop and yeah the tree equipment might not fit. Now that I know I'm actually going to do it, we'll see what the different people I get out here to do say in terms...

Cement pad under pump - okay or need to be fixed?

all right, thanks both of you! I'll go ahead and just leave it as is. Just didn't know if that was gonna mess anything up over time. Maybe when i get the tree cut down I'll ask them to see if they can get some of the roots out.

Cement pad under pump - okay or need to be fixed?

So the tree roots next to my pool pump have been slowly raising up the cement pad under my pool pump as you can see in the attached photo. I'll be getting that tree cut down hopefully within the next couple of months. After that, do you think I need to get the cement pad fixed where my pool pump...

    Chlorinator pipe cap?

Hey all! My pool has had the Pentair Model 300 Chlorinator since i bought the house, but I've never used it, and today found some tears on the standpipe (i think that's what it's called) so water was leaking all over. Photo link below, notice the white gorilla tape currently trying to keep it...

1st TF-100 test results, what to do next?

Looking good so far. Pool is definitely clearing up, just slightly white cloudy, but can't see any more green anywhere. I think I measured my CYA at 40 the first time, and put in a shock value of 18 FC... but then the next day I measured CYA, it came up 30 (probably need to do the CYA test like...

Haha, just remembered this before your post and added the appropriate amount of bleach in to reach shock level. Will start SLAMing throughout the day checking levels and stuff!

1st TF-100 test results, what to do next?

Awesome! Filled up pool (I got anxious and added 3 jugs of bleach when I was filling up cause it was still green, I know I should've waited til pool was filled, but.. impatient..). Anyway, took new readings: FC: 4.5 CC .5 TC 5.0 CH 250 TA 90 CYA 40 CL 5 PH 7.5 Talk about lowering my CYA by a...
