Thank you so much for the complex response. The junction box is actually separated by the pool enclosure so it should be fine, in worst case I could just move the box which won't be any problem. I will be draining water anyways because I want to sand down the paint that previous owner used and...

I reached out to a few pool contractors and they estimated the job for $10-16k, which is ridiculously high. I will definitely do it myself. Just need to find the right product that will last a few years

Can't really find much information about any products. Like you said, most are complaints. Aquaguard is actually commercial grade, from what they are stating. They guarantee to last 10 years when roll applied and 15 years when spray painted, which is even better and easier for me to apply. But...

Thank you for the information. Aquaguard guarantees 10 years, won't I get at least 5 years out of it? As for the gel coat, can I use any gel coat from a marine store? I actually gell-coated my boat last year so maybe I could do the same with my pool
