    Adding salt to pool

Texas Spash, you're the best. We will proceed slowwwwwly and just see how it goes. We are old timers and have had the pool for 30 years. Hubby is excited to be hauling the salt bags! Not...

    Adding salt to pool

Thanks so much. We definitely will go slow with this process, lastly is there one salt over the other that most use? I read here "Solar Salt" but then read that was not the salt to use. Now to look for a salt calculator which I assume is on here somewhere?

Thanks, you just triggered that our Taylor test kit is the K-2005. We just never tested the salt since we don't have salt water. It did test at 1400 and I apologize I haven't looked that far into what is the correct number/adding salt.

Hayward Vsp on low speed spitting air into pool

Ok, thanks for your thoughts, I'll pass this onto my husband, we may just accept it like you said. Hard to accept when something changes over time but could be a worse problem!

New this year when the pump is on low speed, we are getting bubbles some smaller than others from our return lines to the pool. The pot on the pump is fine no air and impellers checked too. We run the pump on 2300 rpm during the day @ 390 watts Low speed is 1725 amp @187 watts. On all the...
