Travertine patio: how did they lay yours down

I am told two different ways by two different landscapers. One is using a process that has a 7 day curing process so the travertine can adhere to it or others mentioned just using concrete sand and then crushed stone. How was your travertine installed and do you live somewhere where it...

    finalizing patio design and size:

We are getting close to completion and meeting with PB tomorrow on final patio design and size. I know everyone says go with the most patio you can get but the budget says another story sometimes. Around the pool, what is the minimum size patio that you could get away with and have a chaise...

    Tahoe Blue Pebbletec Pictures

We were between Tahoe Blue and Caribbean Blue. We were not adding anything to either color. We saw 2 pools of each color in person and we decided with Caribbean Blue. Tahoe Blue had a tint of green that we just did not want.

    Music by the pool. Ideas?

We are in the middle of our pool build and starting to think about how we get music outside. Especially with Fathers day coming up :) We at sonos newbies(last 4 months) and really love it inside. We currently only have 3 speakers inside. We have a screened in porch but its up 7 steps and we...

    New North Carolina pool build

I had heard of others that had to wait but we do not. Our PB said we could jump in as they were filling up. Perhaps difference of PebbleTec vs Plaster? We do have to wait 2 weeks to turn on heater.

    New North Carolina pool build

My water temp is 77 today. We can not turn on heater until next Friday(apparently due to the pebble tec). You are probably accurate with the pool service and learning curve. Its kind of like what happens when you use GPS to drive somewhere or are a passenger. you don't quite learn how to get...

    New North Carolina pool build

Passed our final inspection today! Woo hoo. Pool is officially completed. Going to pool school in an hour to learn. We get 1 month service included and we will probably extend that at least until we get comfortable but looking forward to be able to control heat, water falls, bubblers, and...

Diving Rock or no Diving rock

Thank you all for the input. I also called our insurance and they said no to a diving board but had to call me back regarding a jumping rock. They did say it was ok but in the end, we decided against. For all the reasons above. PB giving us credit.

Diving Rock or no Diving rock

I need to decide by Monday. Any thoughts, etc? Also, I have a very light, neutral travertine pool. Not rustic, boulders etc.

Help with Waterline Tile and Pebble Tec! Newbie!

We went neutral and smooth. Our PB told us the tiles with texture are harder to keep clean and asked us if we wanted to draw attention to the tile or the pool water. We also went with Caribbean blue Pebble tec. May be lighter than your looking for but it was exactly what we wanted.

    Vote: Red or black?

I'm not a fan of red at all so I vote anything but red.
