Our neighbor's trampoline decided to take the plunge....in our pool!

Thanks for your advice. We probably will ditch the idea of the foam. We had a solar cover and it was a pain and didn't last long but we may try another. We have a gas heater but our gas prices have gone up 160 % recently so won't be heating much. The liner replacement will hopefully be paid...

Our neighbor's trampoline decided to take the plunge....in our pool!

For the wall foam we were thinking of it more for insulation to keep the heat in the pool as we do run a heater in the cooler months. If we find rust what do you recommend as the best way to deal with it? On the rigid foam for the base we were thinking of gluing it to the mortar bottom...

Our neighbor's trampoline decided to take the plunge....in our pool!

Hi Allen, We live in northern IL about 60 miles SW of Chicago in a town called Sandwich that no one has ever heard of. Well the reason we were thinking of an underlayment was to add cushion to the feet possibly help prevent any further bottom damage. We will install wall foam at the same time...

Our neighbor's trampoline decided to take the plunge....in our pool!

Well some days I really wonder if we were meant to have a pool. We ordered it back in Feb 2011 but because of a truckers strike and a "recommended by the pool retailers" installer, we didn't have a pool until October that year. The installer the retailer recommended was an idiot and left our...

In the market for a new pump...

Hi all, We have a 15 x 30 x 48"-7'(deep end) oval abg except for deep end. Originally we had a 2 speed plug in supposedly inground pump with on/off switch 110-120v. Not sure of the HP on the high end. Our pool we figure is about 20250 gallons with bottom drains. Last year my husband...

Anyone built a raised landscape block patio/deck for AG pool

Hi, Well we FINALLY after two years of trying to get a pool in the backyard around the septic fields and partially sunk in the ground (only about 1.5' in) I have hope it is now going to happen! Now the issue is that we are butting it up to our existing stamped concrete patio and want...

A Million Questions???? Trying to do AG semi-inground

Hey UPSguy! We used to live in Temperance, MI just across the border from you. We saw the EZ panel pools too but you are right if you don't get a small rectangular one they are more pricey. Of course the Ultimate and Bermuda aren't cheap either compared to regular AG pools. The place we are...

A Million Questions???? Trying to do AG semi-inground

Great! That helps a lot. I think I had read about the 2 spd being good here at TFP. What about the pool itself? Does anyone have any experience with either the Bermuda or Ultimate pool? We like the idea of the aluminum because we are sinking it 2 ft but the steel Ultimate is supposedly made...

A Million Questions???? Trying to do AG semi-inground

Hi, We are not new to pools just new to trying this semi-inground thing. I have tried to research until my brain hurts :hammer: Previously we had a 12 x 24 Doughboy and a 24' round no-name pool that came with the house, different houses than where we live now. The Doughboy had a hopper deep...
