BBB levels for a not really closed, closed pool in Dallas

Re: BBB levels for a not really closed, closed pool in Dalla Good point, didn't think of that. Currently the pump runs 7 hours a day. Which is down from 12-15 hours a day that I had to run it when I was apparently going by Troublesomepool.com standards. What do you recommend for run time? And...

BBB levels for a not really closed, closed pool in Dallas

Just finished reading Jason's pool closeing procedure and realized I'm not really closing my pool. Not going to drain it or blow out any lines. The pump and systems stay active all winter and automatically come on if temps get close to freezing. My question: Do I make any adjustments to the...

Thanks for them help. My wife and I figured out that we can stay the night next Friday so that we can check the FC & CC levels after sunset & again in the morning before sunrise. Problem is we can't maintain the SLAM level of 12 over the course of this week. Its just not possible for one of us...

Yes Im in Dallas and it's hot and sunny pretty much all the time thru July, August & Sept. But, the pool has lots of shade from tree's. There is no time during the day that the whole pool is in full sun. About 1/2 of the pool gets full sun for approx 6 hours. Otherwise morning & late afternoon...

Ok, thank you. I'm going with 60 oz. of dry stabilizer in two socks. Today adding 356 oz of 8.25% bleach to obtain a FC shock level of 12.

Can I not do the same thing(hang the sock) with 3" tablets? Or will they disolve even slower than the granular? Sorry so many questions. But I live 60 miles from this pool and work 50 hours a week also. So I'm trying to find the best plan to keep the pool on track while I work an hour away.

What do you recommend for adding CYA? The liquid provides quick results but is expensive. Correct? Other than 3" tablets that take a week to give results, what other form a stabilizer is there? Dry/granular? If I can drop PH at same time as adding CYA, I think I'll go that route. Just don't...

Ok... Got all the levels in pool calculator. I add bleach only and then re-test or go ahead and add everything that calculator recommends? The weather is hot & sunny here so with zero CYA my bleach is going to disappear quick. Correct? Does that mean I need to go to the pool store and get...
