Help! My pool is leaking! Winter is coming

When I say I got in the pool, I mean with rubber boots and a winter coat and stuck to the shallow end. I’m not that crazy. Lol. The corners where the steel wall meet the bottom and around the steps/bench do stretch out so I focused my time there for tears but didn’t see any. It’s hard to tell...

Help! My pool is leaking! Winter is coming

Just got in the pool, there was still ice, just the rain make it look clear. About 1/2” thick so now with the various sharp corners floating around I hope it’ll be ok. Confirmed 10” of water in shalllow end, but I was unsuccessful in finding the source of the leak. :(

Help! My pool is leaking! Winter is coming

I’d say there is about 10” of water left in the shallow end, but I didn’t think about the risk of it moving around also without the weight of water on it. The steps are vinyl over steel and we also have a bench seat also vinyl over steel, so I’ve been trying to focus on those welded seams...

Help! My pool is leaking! Winter is coming

Hi all, so we have a new salt in-ground steel-wall grouted bottom pool. The liner was installed this past spring. We’re located near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I took a corner of the safety cover off 2.5 weeks ago to check things out. Water had dropped about 12” below the returns where it was...

Hairline cracks in new grouted pool bottom

PB didn't tell us to water it, didn't know that was a thing. They poured the grout just over 3 weeks ago. Still no liner due to delays. Is it still worth keeping water on it now? We're located in Ontario Canada. Thanks.

Hairline cracks in new grouted pool bottom

Hi All, How concerned should I be about hairline cracks in a new grouted pool bottom, or is it typical? There are 3 hairline cracks, one down the centre of the slope between the shallow and deep end, and 2 opposite each other in the deep end on the sloped walls down from the steel walls. At...

Need Help Picking Our Pool Deck Stamped Concrete Colour (Interstar integral colour and release powder)

This is what we’re trying to mimic, or close to it anyways. However, this is a random Google image and I couldn’t find the source. I understand this may or may not be stamped concrete and the sealant will make it look more glossy.

Need Help Picking Our Pool Deck Stamped Concrete Colour (Interstar integral colour and release powder)

Hi All, We’re a few days away from our stamped concrete pour. We’ll be using a seamless slate texture where they’ll cut the joints in later. We now need to select our colour, do you have any favourites out there? Our house is a light beige siding, and our deck is Trex Spiced Rum. It will be...

    Plumbing to my tiki bar?

I have that sharkbite style of quarter turn valve on my current hose bibs, so I'd just use the same. One more question, I assume you use an PEX elbow fitting in the LB conduit? (thinking 1/2" PEX doesn't have that kind of bend radius)

    Plumbing to my tiki bar?

You're full of great ideas. lol :) I like the approach of one 2" conduit with 2 1/2" PEX and a couple network cables. Nice and tidy. Also good point about the quarter turn valves, you're right they are fairly stiff. Using the garden hose fitting and cap would also allow me to use the quick...

    Plumbing to my tiki bar?

Thanks for the idea. This option crossed my mind as well as a friend's tiki bar has an electric hot water heater out of an old RV, but his is a couple hundred feet from his house. In my case, the kitchen in my house is actually further away from the hot water tank than my tiki bar will be, so...
