Well I am now 16 days in. Filter running 24/7. I have crystal clear water with no goo on the pool floor or walls but I still have a 5-6 ppm FC loss overnight. (I even tried one night with the filter off to see if that was the culprit) Do I just keep going??

I'll gather the info tomorrow and put it in my signature. Can't tell you all how much I appreciate the help. I don't have any way to cover the pool during the day. As windy as it is here (in a wide open plain of eastern Oklahoma) I don't think one of those bubble covers would stay on more than...

I see in another conversion thread about the use of CDX. I used CDX also. What is different about the conversion process? I have beautiful clear water but I am still losing 5ppm overnight. And with full sun during the day I need nearly 3 gallons of 10% per hour to keep the pool dosed.

Well the filter doesn't appear to be the culprit. I checked it at 5am and had a 5ppm loss overnight with 1 CC. I dosed it back up and turned the filter back on. Supposed to have some cloudy days the next few days. Hopefully that will help with FC loss while I'm at work.

Wasn't able to deep clean the filter today. I did dose the pool up to 15 FC after dark and turn the pump off. I'll report back tomorrow. :)

Yes overnight loss was 7 last night. CC is running at 1.

I'm brushing daily. The steps are out of the pool. I lost 7ppm last night on the OCLT. this after putting in 18 gallons of bleach yesterday. I'm starting to think I've made a mistake by switching. I'm putting in two gallons of chlorine an hour just for it to be 'eaten' by the sun.

I backwashed this morning. Very little goo compared to beginning. I am getting back to 15 in the evenings. I have a liquidator chlorinator running full open during the days, but I'm usually down to 3-4 ppm by the time I get home.

Nothing but 10% bleach.

Been going at it a week now. Pool is crystal clear - but I still have a 5ppm FC loss overnight. Any ideas??
