Having my pool totally renovated. They just installed new tile. The guys grouted today. Used white grout instead of gray that we picked. I called to complain and the contractor said they will be back tomorrow to fix it. I said “how are they going to do that?” And he said “ they have their ways”...

Ideally, yes the DE is in the filter, but some can get into your pool water in different ways. Not sitting on top of the water, but suspended in the water. Yes, most likely paranoid, but was on my mind.

But DE particles are microscopic, what if they get lodged in there?!

LOL, I'm not having to give my kids CPR every time we swim or anything, but you know how they take on a little water and have to cough and stuff.
