    Installing Landscape Lighting

Jim, After surveying the area that I plan to install the 12v lighting (& a bit of head scratching), I think that I will opt to simply wire in a transformer directly to a convenient AC outlet & use the onboard timer to regulate the lights. Nevertheless...thank you so much for your input &...

    Installing Landscape Lighting

I am looking for connection to the EasyTouch panel. I will have to check & see if I have room for the light schedule, as well as an unused relay. I am also considering simply connecting a programmable transformer to a nearby AC outlet & thus not using the EasyTouch panel. But, at this point, I...

    Installing Landscape Lighting

Although I have never considered this before, I understand that I can connect landscape lighting to my Pentair Easy Touch 4 panel. I would appreciate if someone could recommend a source for instructions on installation. Thank you so much.

Need Help with Explaining FC Loss

Your point on scrubbing is well-taken. I have brushed the spa a couple of times during the SLAM; but have not removed the drain covers. But after 6 days of maintaining FC at 25 ppm, I am still perplexed as to why the water is still consuming so much chlorine without any significance decrease.

Oops. Sorry for the jumbled format of the columns above. Don't know why that happened. Let me try attaching it as a PDF file.

Need Help with Explaining FC Loss

I previously posted a similar concern regarding FC loss. However, I did another SLAM raising the FC ltarget level from 15 ppm to 25 ppm. With the SWCG removed for the upcoming winter, I began chlorinating the spa manually with liquid chlorine. Based on Pool School guidance, I did a SLAM with a...

    Chlorine Question

Although my spa passed the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test (a decrease in 0.5ppm) & the auto cover completely shuts out any sunlight, I opted to do a SLAM to rule out organic matter in the water. I attached the results below. To me, these results are confusing. For example, FC seems to fall by...

    Chlorine Question

Mdragger88: Soory for the delay in responding, but I have been out of town for a couple of days.To answer your questions, 1. 10% for 8 hours/days. 2. Pentair IntelliChlor IC20 3. The liquid chlorine is new. I have been using a 7.5% generic store-branded bleach. Your comment that the swcg...

    Chlorine Question

The cover is an auto cover with side tracks. The water is completely covered. As I indicated above, yesterday afternoon when I checked the CYA level there was no indicated CYA at all. Apparently I might have forgotten to add stabilizer after the spa was refilled. Now that I adjusted the CYA to...

    Chlorine Question

Well, the OCLT showed a drop of only 0.5ppm in FC overnight. So that tells me that the issue of previously adding more & more chlorine was likely due to no CYA in the water. However, I will keep an eye on things & SLAM if necessary. Thank you again for your help. Kit
