Would a small air leak on my multiport valve cause my pool basket to drain and have to be re-primed at start up?

Very nice to be here! I’m from St. Louis, MO. Built a pool in 2016 and am still learning as I go! Tons of help here. Would a small leak at the top of the multi port valve cause my pool to need re-primed in the morning?
