    Sonoff Pool Automation Help Needed

@FloridaGary when speed 3 finishes at 1500, does the pump go to zero RPMs until 0900 the next day?

Troubleshooting intermittent low pump basket water issue ...

I have a two speed pump and a SWG that has the same issue (but a different brand from yours). Twice a day I run the pump on high for 5 minutes to bleed out the air in the pump.

    Pool Design Feedback

Make sure you carefully measure your elevations. You might find that influences your designs. It appears that you have a decent slope going towards the rear and right side property lines. Depending on what you want to do with your landscaping and decking, you might wind up with some retaining...

    Infinity edge pool damage.

It looks like the tiles were not wide enough to cover the entire edge and this was the fix for it. I'm no builder though so......I could be way off.

Dual Stage Pump (Century 0-196159 56Y, 2 HP)

Does it start and run normally on high for a second or does it make some noise before/after? My two speed pump has two capcitors, a start capacitor and a run capacitor. When the start capacitor went bad, the motor generally would try to start but then would just hum. I haven't had a run...

Overwhelmed with attempt to automate pool pump

You need to be comfortable handling 240v wiring and the principles associated with AC current before you undertake a solution like this. I did something very similar to what you want to do using Lutron Caseta switches. I use my mechanical timer to turn the pump on/off and the wireless switches...

New Member, New Concrete Deck Concern

There are some pretty experienced concrete contractors and pool builders on the forum so they will probably be along soon. Without the bonding attached to the grid in the concrete, I would be curious how they did your electrical bonding. Does you location require inspections during...

Should I put my heat pump on a timer?

My gas heater does the same thing. I was thinking it was just because I startup at low pump speed (two speed pump) and it takes some time to get the water reading at the heater up. A delay seems like a good idea. I might try starting it on high to see if that helps as well.

Last few questions before placing automation order

Salt cells are digital, they are either on or off. The manufacturers generally provide cycle times in minutes/hours and the cell is on for a percentage that the user selects. So in the case of the IC60, at 100% the generator produces chlorine for 265 seconds of each 5 minute period. At 40%...

    Building fluid level gauge

Industrial applications use laser or ultra sonic sensors. What about using weight? I'm not familiar with the stenner systems but could you use a pressure tranducer under the tank? That would make it a non-contact system with the fluid in the tank.

Need Advice - Can a DIYer remove a Heat Pump?

Are these unions a standard size union that you can buy at any hardware or are they a special size made specifically for Jandy?

Control pool pump with Smart Life or IFTTT app (no hub required)

I did something similar to yours. Leveraged the available smart switches to save me from having to learn about the raspberry pi stuff. I'm also trusting the leviton cyber security folks to keep me safe. I figured a big name brand would have a decent handle on security.

What are you thoughts on getting a higher rated heater vs recommended?

Bigger is better but it's all based on your budget. We also had to upgrade our gas meter when we had the pool built. It cost about $700 for the new meter installation if I remembered correctly.
