How much to replace a TA100D Pentair Sand Filter?

Hello, Our pool sand filter is leaking about 2 cups of water while in operation for 8 hours a day. It is going to be months before we can get a new filter due to product out of stock. I am collecting water to put back into pool (don't laugh) - Is this a lot of water to loose a day?

Here are a couple of pictures. If you notice the wet spot, that is where water is leaking. I can't seem to see where it is coming from!

Yes - I feel like it is one of those items, also. I just went out and looked at my equipment. I noticed that I have a Jandy Value Actuator on my Spa return that goes into my heater manifold - could this be the bypass?

Thanks for your quick reply, I inspected the filter & it looks like the water is dripping out of the black plastic nut . In my inspection, I did not see any cracks on the vessel, would they be pretty noticeable? I am not sure if I have a bypass on the my heater, but I will be sure to inquire on...
