    Well.... from what I have read, the goal is to get to breakpoint chlorination which means add 10x the combined chlorine... Combined chlorine was 2.87. I have liquid chlorine 10% and the bags of shock that they sold me. So whatever is the best way to achieve the goal is what I want to do.

    Test results at the store said free chlorine .22, total chlorine 3.09 and combine chlorine 2.87.

    Pool store told us to shock our pool with 5lbs powder shock. We typically use liquid chlorine so how much would that be? They said to only use the powder... Also, our pool is vinyl and calcium hardness is low. Is this a problem?

    Hayward s200 leaking bulkhead union

    Thanks for the assistance. According to the diagram, I believe it is part 23, on the bottom, that needs replaced. Not sure if that is the same as the spacer. And thanks for the info on deep cleaning the sand.

    We have a leak from the o ring on the outside of the filter at the bulkhead union of the water return (I believe - the bottom pipe). Is it possible to replace this o-ring without opening the filter? Any assistance/instruction is appreciated. kcb in ground, 11,800 gallons, vinyl, s200 sand filter
