I wouldn't worry about it either - if your hose fits, you shouldn't have problems with small debris. There are adapters if your hose doesn't quite fit, and if you want to be extra careful you could buy an in-line basket for your cleaner (though at that point it may save you time/hassle/money to...

Split from Bubbler Nozzles, finally found some to fix our lack luster bubblers!! This bubbler is almost exactly what I've been trying to find. I have a pretty shallow baja shelf in my pool with a 1-1/2" return line that has nothing on it. I'm trying to avoid anything tall as the kids may trip...
