Black algae ? Black algae can form into a hard material ? I will attempt to scrub it and see if it will go away. Besides scrubbing it, will I need to do anything after ?

Hello Everyone, So I just got my pool resurfaced and I was wondering if my pool Jetts should look like this? They have part of the threading showing and are not flush to the pool wall. Will that be an issue ?

so from what you see on the images I sent over, the thinset should have no problem sticking to the old concrete? I can trowel the Lacriete thinset over?
