Purchasing our first AGP from a dealer ; Getting mislead? Need input....(pics)

Maybe I'm old but the second I found out that the sales guy lied about the make of the pool, I would walk. He would not see one dime of my money. I am afraid you will invest a lot of money and never be truly satisfied with it, because you will know this guy lied to you and tried to get over on...

    Arghhhhh... multiple leaks!

Two things I have learned the hard way when gluing PVC pipe together. Always put a second coat of glue on the pipe right before you push them together. so my process is, primer the pipe going inside, then primer the fitting it is going in to, then primer the pipe again. Glue the pipe, then glue...

Opposite (diagonally) corners of 12x24x52 pool are lower than other two by one inch

I am definitely no expert, but I have 2 of the intex 16x32x52" the first one has been up for 4 years and is out of level by prolly 3 inches and has never once had an issue. I have had the corner piece completely come out before. It did not sink the pool. Some water ran out of the corner and 2...

Hayward through wall on intex 16x32 with some hard plumbing

Ya its a slow drip on each. I don't think I will wait very long before relocation so it should be fine.

Hayward through wall on intex 16x32 with some hard plumbing

The hoses go inside the hard PVC fittings. I don't see how I would clamp them. Do you mean an adaptor of some kind?

Hayward through wall on intex 16x32 with some hard plumbing

woot got my badge :) That skimmer is actually going HAM! I had to empty the basket 3 times in 6 hours due to all the tree debris it collected. Today not as bad because of all the work it did yesterday. Still working on getting the water right. We arent that far from swimming around here to be...

Hayward through wall on intex 16x32 with some hard plumbing

Decided to install my Hayward through wall and go ahead and do SOME of the hard plumbing while I was at it. This is still not the final product as I will relocate the filter/pump in the future and hopefully I have left myself a way to do that :) With the Hayward I started by placing it as high...

    Installation Plan....what am I missing?

I dont need a permit, but I think its a good idea from a safety standpoint. I just wanted to make sure I wasnt wasting my time by bonding only to the water bond. As long as it will be effective enough to increase safety I will be doing it.

    Installation Plan....what am I missing?

The pictures are deceiving. The AC will be 10 feet or so from the pool. There will be nothing metal within 5 feet of the pool, including the filter and SWG they will on a raised pad next to the AC prolly 12 feet from the pool. If the only thing I am bonding to is the water, then is there any...

    Installation Plan....what am I missing?

Sadly the 2 drums I have, were sawed in half to make water troughs for the livestock :( Im going to have to find something to act as a roller. dont think I want to hand tamp the sand, but the kids might :) On another note. Based on my research Its really useless to bond to the metal legs of the...

    Installation Plan....what am I missing?

perfect! Thank you for the gameplan. I saw some water rollers on amazon for about 125. I would go that route if I could think of any future applications for it.

    Installation Plan....what am I missing?

I ended up tilling that area 8 times. made 2 passes and then we started pulling out the top soil/grass with shovels. After doing that I could see there was still a LOT of grass root so tilled several more times, pulled more soil/grass out, then hit it a few more times, then time using the...

    Installation Plan....what am I missing?

Progress was made this weekend. It is hard to tell in the picture but we removed prolly 4 inches of top soil. Thanks for the advice on NOT back filling with it. I will get a truck load of sand or 3 and use that for leveling beneath the foam boards. This is going to take forever, but I have heard...
