Possible New Pool In Central FL

Your pool and decking looks great. We are looking to do a very similar paver decking. Do you know what brand, style, and color pavers you got?

UT New Build Critique - Update (steel almost done)

She sent me all my color choices. Here is the waterline tile brand FROSTED SKY 2x4 (GS84896B3) - Artistry In Mosaics Decided on our stack stone also, going with Niveo Kwikstack.

To slide or not to slide?

We are going through the building process right now. I want a slide for our kids (10, 8, & 5) but my wife says they should just be happy to get a pool :) So we are having them do the plumbing and stub it. Since we are doing paver decking, my PB says we should be able to just pull up the paver...

You are right. Mixing up all my questions in my head. The Autofill is at the pad. I don't have an overflow because of the automatic cover.

Thanks @kimkats! I found the overflow pipe. When I inspected the pipe closer today they have labeled them all at the equipment pad area so I just need to look at that (to be fair, it was dark last night :)). Going to go measure now with that 6" rule.

Paver Brands - New Install in NJ

I've been going back and forth on this question also. We made our decision to go with paver (Belgard) this week. Ultimately we like the look of paver better and figure they would be easier to replace in the future if the need ever came up due to settling or something unexpected.

Newbie building pool in Dallas - looking for insights

@mastervic27 we have a very similar build. I kind of laugh to myself because so many of the questions you've asked are the same ones I've had. We decided to put the equipment in the back corner by the fence. Wish I could have put it in my future shed or behind the shed but it was too far away...

UT New Build Critique - Update (steel almost done)

@TampaKathy Yeah I did and the sunshelf is looking good. I feel like they are cruising. Just barely longer than 6'. Still kind of hard to tell how deep it will be. They actually plumbed the bubblers today and put light holders in. Every time I think they are done with steel they just keep...

@Nikilyn That's true. I forget the pool will eventually have water in it one day

UT New Build Critique - Update (steel almost done)

Update - Steel is almost done. I'm amazed at how fast they work. Went and looked at stone options for the raised wall water feature. Number 3 ties in the best but we are still not sure. It's not a big area so we are thinking we could possibly do 1 or 2 but that might blend in with the white...

UT New Build Critique - Update (steel almost done)

@spd500 That is great and yeah it does look like it was meant to be there. @ImpalaSS Thanks for the feedback. Your pool looks good. Any reason you went with microbrites vs intellibrights? My PB says he did two intellibrights in his personal 50x20 pool and says they light up the whole pool...

That sounds awesome. Love to see a picture of it.

UT New Build Critique - Update (steel almost done)

@kimkats Thanks. Yeah, no clue what they were thinking with the wall. Guessing they saw the hole for the skimmer so they just went and put it on the other side. They fixed it this morning. They are doing plumbing and starting steelwork today. I went and measured the pool last night. The...

UT New Build Critique - Update (steel almost done)

@Nikilyn I like your tile. One of our final choices was very similar but had more white streaks lines in it. Your tile will look good with white also. The plaster choice was pretty easy for us for two reasons, my wife really like the smoothest feel possible on a pool and it didn't hurt that...

UT New Build Critique - Update (steel almost done)

Thanks, @spd500. I would have never known that. Everything measures out right beside the sundeck dirt only come out about 3 of the 6 feet. I had to call the PB anyway for another reason but he says once rebar and gunite are done it will be 6 feet. So the other reason I had to call the PB...
