well it turns out that under the fiberglass is plaster, of course thats what i was expecting; however under the plaster isnt gunite like i was expecting but another layer of plaster. I havent stated to air chisel it out yet, still trying to determine why

so ive almost got all the fiberglass removed. most of it wasnt stuck to plaster. there also a few hollow sounding spots of plaster i must chisel into till sounds solid.

With an air chisel, i chiseled out the center of the missing bottom drain. well i had picture but to big to uplaod. anyways i found the bottom pipeing. as soon as i busted through almost 4 inches of plaster, dirty brown water came out. so now have to see condition of pipe to filter. I've...

Ok. so i get the pool drained and start to remove the fiberglass, when i get to bottom drain i find it full of sand, and no piping. plus it wasnt sealed to the plaster. so water would seep between plaster and fiberglass. Now im no expert but there is supposed to be a 2-3"(guessing) in pipe going...

I'm Joe and this winter I'm going to be DIY resurfacing pool. Its been repaired several times with aquatic fiberglass matt and resin and lining is pulling away from wall. (1/2 side of deep end).

draining for resurfacing. what kind of lining is it?
