Is there any value in testing CYA and adding chlorine stabilizer in a gunite pool with SWG? It’s currently close to 0 and we have no issue with keeping our chlorine levels in the target range.

The white substance is not stuck to the pool. If you stir it up it floats around and then settles back to the bottom.

If the lights are on, they will also shut off when the pump shuts down. Does this sound like the same issue that you had?

I’m not positive but It does seem to happen only after the heater has been running awhile and is probably near the set point. After I turn it back on it will usually run for a short time (10-15 minutes) before shutting off again.
