    Getting Started in DFW!

We ended up going with the Micro Fusion Tahoe and it turned out great. Tanning ledge and spa is a grayer color and the pool has a nice blueish look we were wanting. As far as the landscaping, that was all my wife (she has a great eye and knows her plants pretty well). Let me know if you have...

Thanks! It's a brushed concrete but no color. The barn is all concrete and I was looking to match that. - - - Updated - - - Thanks! Could not have done it without TFP. - - - Updated - - - Thanks, Dock. And thanks for the input along the way.

    Getting Started in DFW!

And....we're done! Cannot thank everyone enough for the help we received (and continue to receive!) on TFP. Made this journey so much easier, less stressful and a happy family. Here is the final product. Pics of the barn soon to follow.

    When to put in acid?

Starting to fill our new pool today. They filled the spa first and are now filling the pool. My question is, do I go ahead and put my muriatic acid and Startup-Tec in the spa before the equipment is turned on or do we wait for pool to fill, turn equipment on and do it all at once?

    Getting Started in DFW!

The time has arrived! After a long delay due to weeping, plaster is now going in. Started yesterday and coming back this morning to acid wash and start fill. Fortunate the rain stopped prior to plaster and will hold off until late this afternoon.

    Fill Water Test

Thanks again! In reading through pool school, I see there are a few different start up processes. Do you recommend one? I noticed the acid startup says to pour in 3.5 gallons acid per 10,000 gallons and don't turn circulation system on until pH reaches 7.2 or higher. Traditional mentions...

    Fill Water Test

Appreciate the info! I am OB so it's all on me. As far as pH, how many times should I be checking this each day? I work out of the house so it's not an issue but I didn't know if those numbers could change a few times a day or if checking once a day is enough.

    Fill Water Test

After a couple months of ground water weeping, we are finally getting plaster this week! Tested my fill water this weekend and the results are: PH - 8.2 TA - 110 CH - 110 Chlorine - .5 Anything I should be aware of based on these numbers? I know I'll need some muriatic acid to lower the TA...

    Slow Weep Delaying Plaster

Thanks Jim. I started pumping out the well this morning so hopefully that will help. Appreciate the input and keep you posted!

    Slow Weep Delaying Plaster

That's exactly why I bumped my own thread. To get an answer, regardless if it's good or bad. The good news is, I have a 16' deep bore well about 20 feet from the pool. It has about ten feet of water in it so we are going to start pumping it out. One of my other questions was whether or not a...
