    Multi-port Spider Gasket

The entire valve handle assembly was replaced at opening of the pool this spring. When the tech installed the new valve handle there was no leak. It wasn't until the first back flush that the leaking started that prompted me to change the spider gasket.

    Multi-port Spider Gasket

Valid question - I was in a hurry one night trying to get one ordered and I typed the part number into Amazon and that was what came up. I didn't think too much about it simply because it was such a simple part.

    Multi-port Spider Gasket

I replaced the spider gasket on my Pentair multi-port valve. I purchased replacement gaskets on Amazon that were cross-referenced for my part number. I installed the gasket and used plenty of silicone grease on the gasket and in the channel of the multi-port. I re-installed the multi-port...

How about the laterals not being completely level? Does that cause concern for performance or no big deal? Thanks

    Fatty-like substance in sand filter

After some research on these forums, I decided to open the sand filter with the intention of doing a deep cleaning. Upon opening the filter, I noticed these "clumps" in the sand that at first appeared to be white...

    SLAM Process Confirmation

Update at 4:00 pm: Before starting my SLAM process, I tested my water and need to update my original readings: FC .6 CC .8 pH 7.4 CYA 30 Based on those readings in my 30,000 gallon pool, I added 7 gallons of 5.25% bleach at 2:00 pm to attempt to hit a FC of 12. At 4:00 pm, I tested the water...

    SLAM Process Confirmation

I’ve inherited the maintenance responsibilities for my father in-laws in-ground pool. I’ve been reading as much as I can on this forum as I’m very new to pool maintenance and water chemistry. My readings according to the Taylor 2006 on Friday were: FC .6 CC .8 pH 7.3 CYA 50 I’ve been dealing...
