Thanks for the reply. Well I figured it out, and should have figured it out much sooner. Water was flowing back through the pool fountain return in the spa (fountain is removed). A bad check valve intermittently allowed water to flow back to the pool return when in spa mode. Jason

The Intelliflo is awesome and I prefer it over the EcoStar but be aware that Pentair has recently changed their warranty. Warranty is now 60 days unless installed by a licensed contractor. If installed by a licensed pool contractor warranty is 3 years parts and labor. Jason
