PS - your post here is confusing. My heater manual and caution note on the unit also says to run the pump 15-20 min. after turning off the heater. What do you mean that most newer systems turn off both the pump and heater at the same time?? I mean heck - Isn't the point that his water got so hot...

Thanks again, Paul - didn't think of that. My voltage tester doesnt' show if there is 24 volts - it's only a circuit tester. If the replacement unit doesn't work I'll get the proper meter and check. (Luckily the supplier of my new valve offers 14 days to return it!)

The plumber didn't show. I became convinced the valve is bad.... So I took it out, reconnected the wires while holding i. Turned on the pump and heater. When the HSI glows and the valve "clicks" I can see that the valve doesn't open. So I ordered a replacement. We'll see ...

Solved HOW?? Did you readjust the pressure sensor? or replace it????

Also, I just noticed DAnpic is one of the helpful posters here. Dan helped me too - thanks again, Dan! And I should add: Techyspice, your problem is probably fixed by now. WHAT WAS THE FIX???? I'm guessing it was the pressure sensor. BVS: this could be your problem too - and that would be good...

See my post in this forum - you can find it easily, of a few days ago - it's a related problem, also with a Laars Lite LLD (Propane - tho' the natural gas version has all the same components, with just a couple add-on parts different on the gas valve). I've reached a point by troubleshooting...

I use it several times per week - and the day before the current issue arose.

And thanks to you again, Dan. Yes, I do feel the valve when it "clicks". So it seems to be something with the gas line. Your advice really helped get me to this point!
