I should have mentioned that the PH was high before we started the slam, but I wanted to kill the algae before doing anything about the PH

Is it possible for the PH to be super high and the TA to be good? I'm helping a friend with his pool and the PH was higher than what my tester, TF-100, went up to, but his TA is 120? The pool is cloudy but we are at the end of a slam so it's to be expected until I can get all the dead algae out...

I think the reflection of the light makes it look that way because the water level is good

I wanted to follow up this post to thank everyone for the help. It took a while to get through the slam, but we did it. He was finally able to get in his pool.

My heater is Reheem 150k btu heater. I looked over the manual and didn't see CH listed, but it did say to never have my FC above 5ppm which I just learned is an old standard based off no CYA. My CYA is 70 so I'm not sure how much of the manual to believe
