Has anyone used the new Pentair Intelliconnect or the Hayward VS Omni Pump?

Yeah, not sure it's the same when using the VS Omni because it won't really turn the power on/off to the pump it will just reduce the RPM to 0 when not running. So I think a relay will need to be used.

Has anyone used the new Pentair Intelliconnect or the Hayward VS Omni Pump?

Yeah I hear you, here's what I asked: "Ok so there is no down sides or potential issues to the cell with just using the flow-switch to turn it on/off? Was worried about damage but if not that's good." and they replied: "There is absolutely no issue, as long as your AquaRite has a flow switch."...

Has anyone used the new Pentair Intelliconnect or the Hayward VS Omni Pump?

I chatted back and forth with Hayward support and they said with the VS Omni it's best to treat the SWG as a separate component and not to waste a relay for the SWG to just turn it on/off. He suggests since it's got the flow switch just let it do it's thing. For me that's ok, I much rather have...

Has anyone used the new Pentair Intelliconnect or the Hayward VS Omni Pump?

Ok this is good to know, I had reached out to them but never heard back. I'll set it up that way with a relay to just turn it on/off, I don't really change the % duty cycle ever or often so that's fine with me.

Has anyone used the new Pentair Intelliconnect or the Hayward VS Omni Pump?

Well today I returned the IntelliConnect and ordered the Tristar VS Omni 900, the install manual looks great it has an option to fully control the Raypak heater, the Aquarite SWG and of course the pump so this will work out great. At ~$700 more than the equivalent non-omni pump if someone has no...

Has anyone used the new Pentair Intelliconnect or the Hayward VS Omni Pump?

Wow I never even noticed there's no mention of SuperFlo VS control, to be honest I bought the IntelliConnect from my pool store, the one that installed all my equipment :O so you would think they should know. If they will accept my return of it as it's unopened I will buy the Hayward Omni Pump.

Has anyone used the new Pentair Intelliconnect or the Hayward VS Omni Pump?

Quick Background: Before Sept 2017 we had a simple setup Sand Filter Single speed pump Raypak heater Hayward Aquarite SWG Intermatec mechanical timer with fire switch. It was easy, during the week I would run the pool from 7pm to 7am since our Hydro is 1/2 price overnight and on weekends I...

Old IG Vinyl Pool Upgrade Adding Salt, Automation etc. - Advice needed

I have read through the install manual but I'm not 100% sure on this, could the P4 control my existing single speed pump just as a "On"/"Off" switch or no? I saw the wiring for the VS and then the 2 relay wiring for the 2 speed but nothing about a single speed.

Old IG Vinyl Pool Upgrade Adding Salt, Automation etc. - Advice needed

Thanks jblizzle, I read some more after I posted and noticed the recommendations for larger cell so 40k it is for Hayward, or the Aquafresh Ei is 35k so I'm sure that would work right. Also read about ORP so I get it now, I will keep testing and I will just manually add the acid. I might...

Old IG Vinyl Pool Upgrade Adding Salt, Automation etc. - Advice needed

Hi All, This year is the year I have decided to bring my circa 1995 IG pool to he 21st century! It will be my 3rd summer with this pool and while using the TFP method is "easy" I'm growing tired of checking chlorine all the time and my wife will be home this summer with our new baby due in a...

New owner of a older pool, tried Pool Store, now going TFPC

Ok, Slam target is 20ppm, last night T 10pm FC was at 20ppm and this morning 6:30am was 19.5ppm with 0.5cc (1 drop) and the water is clear. I'm happy that didn't take long, I will now bring it up to 29 for the day just to be sure and will again brush everything.

So I salted my chlorine pool. A review.

Did you just add the same QTY of salt that PoolMath told you to add if you had a Salt Water Pool?
