Thankfully the first time this went out they replaced my panel under warranty. When the panel went a second time, they replaced the entire cell. Clearly some product quality issues, but I can't complain with how they handled it.

Thank you. Appreciate the reply. I also have a crack in my skimmer. He plugged that too, but looks like there is no way getting around replacing it? Big job, and very expensive but what else can you do?

This has happened now twice to me. The first time they replaced the control panel. Now 3 months later it has happened again.

Taylor test kit. Yes, CYA was just added 2 days ago as well. But given that, I did not test it.

Finally finished resurfacing. They did a pretty harsh acid bath for 24-36 hrs (maybe ph near zero) to unify the color on my darker (Tropics Blue) surface, which made a significant difference for the good. They then raised Ph to just under 7 by adding a LOT of Baking Soda. Then added muriatic...

I'm not sure how or why, but it seems to be starting to fade. yesterday it was about 10-15% better. He added acid at the end of the day and today its another 10-15% better. Do these things just fade on their own as the surface cures? becomes more uniform?

Anyone think I should demand they redo this? I have not paid in full yet. How might I remedy this situation.

Thanks for your candid reply. Fixing one streak by adding acid to the entire pool for days seems silly and that it could do more long term damage than good. I was there the entire time and can't get over how I saw this and no one else did.

It's in the shallow end of the pool. I also don't like the idea of running acid through my pool again. I was told this will have no effect on my surface or equipment. I find that hard to believe
