Let’s see your water after removing winter cover!! **RESURRECTED FOR 2025!**

I had the FC pretty high, something like 15. Not near slam level. I did take a peak under the cover in Feb. and added a gallon of pool shock I had left over. In Jan it was froze solid

Just opened the cover 1hr ago to start things up. Clear as a bell and 59F water temp. Will run things for a day and see what the chemistry is like. Little white petals from the adjacent blooming crab apple blowing into the pool I could do without though

I can't believe all you central Indiana guys opening already. Suppose to freeze tonight and snow flurries on Monday !! Better than the tornados a few days ago I guess. I'm waiting till at least the first of May. My water temp is around 48F last time I checked.

nothing special on the concrete. They just used a big sponge on it just as it set vs a metal trowel.

Pool Placement and Other Questions - First Pool

If concerned about gravel getting into pool, try river rock like we did. Black underlayment and little roundup keeps the the weeds in check.

What did you do to your pool today?

Been covered since October, opened the auto cover up to check things. Water crystal clear. Dumped a little chlorine in it, scooped a few leaves out and covered it back up. Ready to open about mid May if water temps get up to 60-65F. Water temp yesterday was 48F. At one point in Jan it was...

    HOA Pool

I was our HOA pool manager/caretaker for our subdivision for 4yr till we moved (the only way I could get out of the job !!) It was a chlorine tab pool and had I known then what I know now I would have told them to get a SWG right off the bat. About once a month the city would close me down due...

Ordering coming year test kit refills?

I seem to remember that ordering refills might be at a discount sometime this spring. I have TF pro salt kit and see refill set is $54, but that does not include the salt refills at $36. I have a lot of salt, TA and CH test left over from last year. Any of that still good for the coming...
