Well that should be big enough. If your pool is the size you think it is. I would get the gallons figured out. I had the same problem you are having for years. Come to find out my cartridge filter was too small. It would eventually clean it but it would take about 6 weeks and multiple cleanings...

What type and size of filter and pump?

Your pump may have a drain plug that you can screw an attachment for an aircompressor. Close the lines except those you want to clear. I would think this should blow it all out if you have an air compressor. I had a clog earlier in the summer and this cleared it.

I add anti freeze as well when blowing out the lines and wait for the pink. Just added protection.

We had a dead bat in a skimmer this season :shock: . We see them, but they are fairly high usually. We put a red cover over the light to reduce the bug dive bombers and it seems to reduce the bugs greatly. Got it at Leslies.

I use it exclusively after opening. There is a sand and silt bag that u can purchase for fine debri. Maybe one of the other guys can elaborate on dead algea.

I use the pool blaster max. Like it for quick cleans.

I tried it over a day. Came home to a dirty pool. It was really windy. Sooo ill probably just leave it on. Cept for some calm nights.

Is this going to require I use a hand skimmer? If so ill swallow the extra cost. Lol

I am not shocking. I usually just run it 24/7. I'll turn it off during the day tomorrow. I do likes it clean though. :-D

Thanks for the tip. I have backwashed once already. Probably have to do again this evening judging by the psi this morning. After that hoping it will be a much more infrequent duty.

135 sq foot cartridge filter. About 5 times to small :shock: . It had been working for 3.5 weeks.

Thanks for the advice. Picked up a new system Friday installed Saturday. Began filtration at 5:30pm. It was cleared up at 8am Sunday. Really appreciate this site. Wish I would have found it 7 years ago! Not one pool professional has ever let me know about our undersized filter. We had 2 pool...
