Bone dry!

Culprit below. I cleaned up the motor, primer and painted it where it had corroded. We will see if any internal motor damage reveals itself in the future.

Pentair said it was out of warranty.

Or - can I just try to replace the seals on this motor and keep using it?

The motor is a 3 hp variable speed pentair intelliflo. What is the benefit of switching to the v-green motors as referenced above and is it a difficult swap?

The pump pictured below is only 3 years old. Has anyone seen failure like this before?

I’m in St Louis. I guess if I have to run all that pipe above ground (ugly), I could just put it around the side of the house. That bush is on a corner.

It’s a free form in-ground salt water pool. I don’t have exact specs, but I’m guessing 17k gallon. Sand filter with an intelliflo variable speed pump. I was thinking gas for the heater, but between space constraints and building codes, I’m not sure where it could go. I’d like to keep it all...
