    Opened the pool today and am about to add DE to my Hayward filter. The filter has Unicel FG1003 grids. When searching I see that these grids have 36 sq ft of filtration area. My searches also say that 7 grids are required, but my filter has 8 grids. So do I have 36 sq ft of area or more than...

    I've never owned a pool, so I'd love some feedback on the equipment I'll be getting to know soon. The pool is a 26,000 gallon IG with vinyl liner. The pool heater is non-functioning so that can be ignored. Thanks!
