The reason I shy away from the Pentair Quad 4 is the costs of cartridges. $48 a piece times 4. Besides the cleaning ability of a DE filter, this was another reason why I chose to go DE versus cartridge. I know the DE filter will have it's own costs of ownership, and the Pentair does look like...
