I replaced the pleated seal and the regulated valve on my kreepy krauly but it still doesn't start. How can I check the only moving piece in the unit. There seems to be plenty of suction. Could the thing that flops back and fourth be worn out? This is driving me crazy. Please HELP.

My problem is that I cannot vacuum to waste nonstop because the output would flow onto my neighbors lawn. Could modify the output to go into the street or direct it to the drainage ditch in the back. I was going to syphon to the ditch originally we the believe that the filter could not handle...

Thanks everyone. I was going to leave some water in the pool. The plan is to do the cleaning and water removal late on the day or very early in the morning. Is there any special cleaning produce you would recommend?

My pool received a lot of dirt blown in from some landscaping I did over the winter and is BROWN. Since the water level is unusually low, I was planning to drain the pool and scrub it clean. Does anyone have some pitfalls to avoid? It is an inground pool with a hopper style plastic liner 16/32...

Every time I backwash the pool when I turn on the pump Crud flows out of the jets momentarily.

I have a hayward fiber optic light that also wraps around the edge of the in ground pool. The tower contains all the controls so in you case you need to open it up and see if there is a builtin timer. Be advised that there may be a switch that you will have to defeat when you open it up.

Are the lights under water? If so you're going to have to lower the pool water and drill the the screws out.

How many gallons of water in the pool? If the pool is small enough it may be cheaper to drain it and clean the liner before refilling it. 25# is a lot to dump in such a short time.

I also have a 16 x 32 ft pool. My advice is to have them put a lock strip around the entire pool that will prevent the liner from disconnecting along the edge. My pool had several spots that had the liner sag and was really a pain to put back. The pool tech was able to fix the sags in 10 min...

Ok I have the DE but how to I use it. Shall I put some in the skimmer or do I put it in the top of the sand filter? The cl is now at 10!

Re: LED color changing light barely glows red when turned on I had an issue with a light that was not led. I'll look to see where I got it and let you know. There is a lot of confusion about these light. I sounds like yours requires more current than your source has.

I'm impressed that you took the effort to complete this project. I just finished a couple of automation courses using PLCs or Arduinos. Perhaps I'll follow your lead.
