I've been working on getting my pool open this spring. It was pretty ugly when I opened the cover, so I've been working hard to get it cleaned up. On the good side the water is very clear (not perfect). The problem is the CC number hasn't been changing. I'm still losing 4ppm of FC each day...

I think I'm close to being ready to add stabilizer to my pool after a rough opening. I have read about the sock method, but I'm not sure how to do this if we have an automatic cover. We don't want to leave it open. Any advice?

I took it up to 11ppm before the start of the party. After a couple waves of kids going through the pool it came out the other side in really good shape. The water is a little hazy, but I'm hoping with the elevated FC (still at 9ppm) that it will be back to its beautiful clear self by tomorrow...
