AGP wall rusted / need to replace/ need help on order of fix to reduce future work

Definitely worth considering everything- and I need to see everything taken apart to decide. Last year I did a hail-mary wall repair with some riveting steel- I should have bought a pool wall from someone and riveted a larger area vs my square patches - to spread the pressure better - or...

AGP wall rusted / need to replace/ need help on order of fix to reduce future work

Great point!! There are some great deals right now. I've looked at brand new (some good deals) vs replacement wall ($2K with tax Canadian $) - I won't make the call until I get the pool drained and somewhat disassembled. Here's what I'm thinking. What am I missing? PRO NEW POOL Approx $3K with...

AGP wall rusted / need to replace/ need help on order of fix to reduce future work

Unfortunately the ice has already cut the liner, since the wall continued to blow outward and pop out of the track/lift the track. Now I have a solid 3 feet of ice, and winter storms coming, and SOME water that is draining. This is a heck of a process I would rather not have.

AGP wall rusted / need to replace/ need help on order of fix to reduce future work

SEND TIPS on how to make this run smoothly/moral support? I have a 12x24 oval AGP (Salt...hahaha) that was installed 2017. Due to my own issues not watching the eyeball/dripping- the wall had rusted last season that ended up as a hole. This spring the wall has pushed out of the channel where...

Looking at first above ground pool, got some quotes on Buttress Free

For anyone following this- I haven't tried this but read it today... Above Ground Pool Deep End Installation for Oval Pools - don't know if it works with buttress free, but this pool also has the straps. I'd love to find if anyone has done this!

Pool Factory AGP oval - sand or foam inside for base

Have sand base too, and this time I will be levelling the sand base and then adding a gorilla pad on top, and using foam cove (and insulating foam on the inside of the walls...) Did you use Gorilla pad with no sand, or just over your old sand? Cheers!

    Need Replacement Liner for AGP

The thicker the mil (25 vs 20 for example) the longer it will last, other than that, just google and order. :) Look for sites that allow returns before you open, so that you can confirm with your installer your liner is ok, or confirm with them before you book install. If you're doing it...

When is it time to replace ?

As you take it down, look at whether it's full of rust or looking good. While usually people would say replace - especially since your liner can definitely stay in place 10+ years- if you're doing your own liner, you may want to try to extend. You're well beyond any warranty, but without...

    AGP repair- order of operations

I had a hole in my wall this year that I have to repair. So I've drained my pool, and will either repair or replace the wall. It's an above ground 12x24 oval with a flat bottom, 54" sides. water is probably 48" on average during the season. I haven't looked inside the walls yet, because I...

AGP Decking - Tips on Planners and Materials Lists

Hi there! I have a 12x24 AGP that I've had for 7 seasons. 8th season will start up in June (Canada!) and build season starts April/May. I'm looking to build and trying to keep costs down by planning myself. PLAN: Multi-level deck with small platform/mostly half height, to maximize privacy but...

Looking at first above ground pool, got some quotes on Buttress Free

we have a buttress free oval 12x24 and it's great. No room in the long rectangular yard for buttresses - plus i'd injure myself!! the buttresses are actually kind of buried under the ground - steel L shaped things. 100% love the design. would do again.

Help - stand pipe too high/ changing sand

Changing sand on my filter, I checked my laterals and cleaned them out etc and reloaded sand. Top would not go on again- stand pipe too high. Suctioned out sand, tried again. Got half way, checked - and voila, too high again. Suctioned out a third time. Centred stand pipe. Now- before I put...

    Clean up at pool opening

Hi there. I live in Ottawa canada. While we had hot weather a few days, we are in a cold spell end of April. My pH is super high (above the 8.2 - I’d say around- 8.6? I tested with the TFP kit. My AGP is black from leaves. I have scooped most out but need to see the bottom better to know. Can...
