    DIY liquid chlorinator

I don't see why it would be undiluted. I can introduce what is essentially a drip, several inches from the pump. With the right flow control why would it have to be any higher concentration than shock level?

    DIY liquid chlorinator

Hello everyone. I've been looking into the Hasa unit and some of the DIY systems I've seen here, but frankly they all seem like they're more complicated than they need to be. the Hasa system has bobbers and multiple hose lines. Why can't it be as simple as a bucket with one line plumbed...

Refilling pool - how to start

Thanks. Things are looking good. Stabilizer is up to 20 and I'm adding the rest right now. I've passed oclt twice but I'm losing 3 to 4 ppm per day. Is that normal until I get the stabilizer up?

Refilling pool - how to start

I drained my pool completely and am refilling right now. CYA was off the charts when I bought the house. Drained half a couple years ago and got the CYA down to 80-90. got tired of maintaining the high levels of FC required. Was just going to drain half again but I was a bad pool owner over...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

Anyone in DFW that's been using Winco have trouble finding it now? Mine says they no longer carry the Winco brand bleach. They're now pushing a different label with a much lower %. They say they won't be getting any more of the 8.25% for $2. Back to Aldi for me.

New to care - Just finished SLAM - Next steps

Update, and some questions. My PH drifted up to 8 so I brought it back down to around 7.5 with MA. If I remember right pool math said right at 1 gallon of MA. Now TA tests closer to 130, down from 190 previously. Does that sound like a normal drop with that much MA? It was hanging around...

New to care - Just finished SLAM - Next steps

All the tests are mine except CH. I'm still getting the hang of the CYA test. I have a pretty hood eye, and it's a little unclear what constitutes being able to see the dot. To me it's borderline closer to 70, but if in just glance at the dot it could be obscured around 80. Which is what the...

Best Places to Buy Liquid Chlorine

In DFW my Aldi has 8.25% 121oz jugs for 2.59. That's the best I've seen and beats Walmart by 11 cents/oz. I haven't checked dates, but I did just successfully SLAM my pool with it. EDIT - Oh man I just saw the posts about Winco bleach. Will have to check that out. At $2 they beat Aldi by...

New to care - Just finished SLAM - Next steps

Thanks to this site I have a pretty clear pool. The pool store got me from green, duck infested swap, to murky blue/green that I could only see to the bottom of the shallow end. They told me my CYA was "really high" but never said how much it was hurting my efforts, or that it affected how...
