    FC not rising

Thanks Dirk. I’ll bump up to 5 FC and work my SWG from there. Didn’t realIze that 3.5 FC was way off! I got some work to do! Appreciate the help. I’ll take a pic of my equipment as well to help identify brands. Thanks all!

    FC not rising

I've only been doing this for a few months so not 100% sure on what type of SWG I have, but guessing since everything else is Hayward that maybe thats the same? I'll double check in the am. I measure my salt with the Taylor salt test kit which I bought separately from my Taylor K2006 kit...

    FC not rising

great info. Thanks for the replys! My pump runs from 10am-4pm everyday. Does that sound like a long enough time? I buy the 6% bleach from the grocery store or Lowes, wherever I can find it. I think I read somewhere on here that the 6% was best and not the concentrate so thats what I look...

    FC not rising

My FC has stayed steady at 3.5, and I'm worried that if I keep it at that level I don't have much room to drop before a problem could arise(like Algae). Ideally I think I'd like to keep my FC around 5, but certainly open to suggestions. I've added the required amount of bleach thats suggested...

PH rising along with other numbers..

Wow! Thanks for all the advice, and will post in a column so its easier to read next time. Water looks great, and I'm going to test it this afternoon once I get home to see if the acid helped lower the TA. I have Muriatic acid as well so will be sure to use that next time instead of the dry...

PH rising along with other numbers..

This is only my third time using my test kit, and still very new at all of this so bare with me.... 3 days ago my Taylor K2006c test kit had these readings: FC- 7.5, CC-0, PH- 7.5, TA- 100, CH- 330, CYA- 30, Salt 3100. I did what was recommended on pool math and now my numbers are: FC- 12, CC-...

    New pool owner

Thanks Felipe! My filter runs from 10am-4pm everyday. I'm pretty sure my chlorinator runs at 60%. Does that sound right? How do I increase CYA?

    New pool owner

New to pool ownership and maintenance. Been going to Leslies but my neighbor told me about this site and how easy it can be to maintain yourself. He brought over his Taylor K-2006c test kit last night(which I just ordered) and we tested the water. Results are below. Leslies also told me I...
