    jandy filter

the Jandy service rep came out and replaced the band. NC. The new one looks like a different design. My bet is Jandy knew they were not lasting and is replacing them if you call.

    jandy filter

went to the jandy website and called the local service center. they said the part keeps the shell from collapsing and leaking, should be replaced. they will do it under the 1 year warranty. cant see how that thin flexible band keeps the shell from collapsing.

    jandy filter

thats too funny. my ring was not rusted but the rivets were. saltwater too. anyway, i used J. weld epoxy to bond the two ends back together. that solution did not work as the part separated again. whenever i fix anything, i have left over parts. guess if it works, you didnt need them. some...

    jandy filter

I have a Jandy 340 cart filter. The last time i cleaned my filters, inside the case, a large round stainless steel ring came out. the riveted joint broke so it was not a complete circle anymore. This ring looked like it went along the inside of the seam of the top and bottom shell piece. Anyway...

We survived Ike. Strong winds and rain. The pool is filled with leaves. Scooped a lot out. I pulled the Polaris 280 out of the water and stored it before the storm. Just went to put it back in,turned on the pump and the back of the pressure relief valve keeps popping off and the hose with the...

Thanks for the info. Bottom line is to keep the chlorine levels up to fight the Crud that will get into the pool. Got it.

    Hurricane Ike

Thanks, so I put a pound of shock in the pool before the rain starts? Its about 15k gallons. I am not familiar with the shock process other than the PB put some shock in at start up. How long does the shock last? Should I put my floater in with some pucks since the SWG will be down?

I have some chlorine pucks, muratic acid and some shock. Any tips on how to get the water back up? Im sure we will lose power so the pumps...

    Water fill line

The PB put a water fill line on our hose bib. Usually I turn it on when nobody is home then go out and turn it off. Well, today I turned it on and while I was in the house, my son turned it off and we heard a loud bang in the house from the plumbing. I heard the tail end of a caller recently on...
