New liner time, where to order

I think my doughboy 12x24 with expandable (deep end has been dug out so not flat) liner is about done after I am guessing 13 years. Wanting to order a replacement liner that I can install myself with friends help. Just wondering what people recommend for companies to order from. Thanks, Glenn

Draining Pool — Backwash or Pump?

Re: 3 questions oving Forward WIth Newly Filled/Balanced Pool My pool is half your size and I use 3 cups of 8.25 per day on average. I think that is about the price of having a crystal clear pool. On the plus side, that is a fraction of the cost for other types of sanitation that don't work...

I am about to start the process my self.

Re: So you want to add borates to your pool--Why and How If you have zero borates in your pool now, and shoot for 50ppm, then you would need 55lbs of granular. I would order borate strips and test first though, might save yourself some $ and then you know what your levels will be.

    first time test with TF-100

And ph is fine at 7.2, it will probably come up on it's own with splashing and such. Test your chlorine every day, the ph every 3 or 4, and TA weekly. Those shouldn't change much if all you are doing is adding cl to keep that up where it should be, which will be a daily addition.

jlo, I know it might seem very overwhelming, but if you follow the instructions on this forum we can get you straightened out in short order. As the poster above said, get one of the recommended test kits and run a full battery of tests and then post them here. That will give us a starting...

Need a testing kit. Test strips are not recommended?

Zindar, This method of pool maintenance requires a good test kit. Strips might be easier, but they are very unreliable. I have the TF-100 kit and love it. Just looking at it will create some anxiety lol, but the instructions are so clear and easy to follow that once you run the tests it will...

omg, I don't know what to do...

I'll third that lol. Plus I will add, I thought my pool water was clear after converting from baquacil last season to this method, but I just added borates to the pool Thursday and WOW, I am amazed at the detail I can see at the bottom of my pool. I am kind of a perfectionist (not quite ocd...

New pool owner.. Want to go BBB but very very nervous.. Help calm my nerves.. :)

Yes, I checked pool math and 106 oz. is what you want if it's 8.25%. Just make sure your chlorine % in pool calculator is the same as it says on the bottle. 6ppm is your upper goal, and don't want to drop below 3ppm. So that is why when you test you try to keep it at the upper limit so over...

    New to TroubleFreePool World!

Gully, I just got this from Amazon this year. Only weak spot appears to the plastic pin that attaches the head to the part that goes into the pole. I figure if that breaks I can find a bolt that will fit and do the job. So far the brush has worked great...
