Mine is going on 2 years old and started doing the same thing... moved forward, the back, then stops. I checked the impeller and it was free of hair and junk. I put it back in the water and now it works for about 2 minutes then dies. These things are junk, really.

Thank you for the ideas! I like the thought of having an extra return line, but I'm not following on the sprayer to cool the pool... Sounds like a great thing, though. The booster line to the pool was capped off last year. Any harm in using it now after so long? How would I even clean it...

I hope this is true! Lots of cracked PVC, and the DE filter let loose with a really loud bang at 3am! Not sure about skimmer or below ground pipe damage. :unsure:
