UPDATE the new 280 installed and running like a champ! Couldn’t be more pleased. FYI the bag design is not compatible with the old unit but non OEM bags are cheap! So very glad we returned the 360!

We were in the same boat but ours was beyond repair. Bought the Polaris 360 (there’s a thread from a few weeks ago I started on it). To sum it up we returned the 360 after 2 days (crawled and useless without booster that supposedly wasn’t needed or acceptable to use) and purchased the 280...

SLAM is completed! Once I drift down to FC of 10 is that the appropriate time to test salt with the K-1766 and turn on SWG and add salt? Second question - water temp around 58 brrr degrees - does temp affect the reading? Thanks!

Thanks! I’m really starting to regret the purchase. I’ve already contacted seller (via Amazon) so we’ll see where it goes. It wasn’t a monetary decision- the 260 was $25 more but guess I got suckered into the alleged “features”. Thought I did enuf homework but obviously not. I’ll post any...

Bought the Polaris 360 to replace almost 20 year old Polaris 380 - motor died and interior was literally breaking apart. Purchased the 360 since it indicated no booster needed, more efficient cleaning and all wheel drive over the 280. Fairly quick set up and to say it moved at a snail’s pace...

Okay then put me in the bad girl’s corner of the pool. But … water temp is only 62 and air temp is 59 so I’ll wait for my punishment until it’s much warmer. 😍. Always appreciate the quick reply!

Just added about 15 minutes ago! Also forgot to mention it was last year’s chlorine purchase. Should I test right now?

Began SLAM a few minutes ago! Used the calculator to bring to bring FC to 24. Stupidly did not change percentage from 6% chlorine to 10%. At 6% I needed 7 gallons and 2 quarts. After adding looked at calculator and caught my error. Should have added 4 gallons 3 quarts! Barely any...

Hmmm, fortuitous timing here. Opened our pool two days ago and our Polaris 380 has gone to it's final resting place. Incredibly, it was almost 20 years old so no complaints here. We've replaced parts here and there over the last 10 years since we bought the house, but now the motor has died...

Old age is creeping up! I can’t recall if I need to leave the filter on for the first 24 hours to slam for closing an inground pool. All levels are normal at present.

Thursday early evening I posted the below as a "reply" on my earlier April 24th thread. SWG readings as of this a.m. varied to 3600/3500. Would definitely appreciate any feedback.
