    Repairing vs replacing fiberglass steps

$7K ouch! and yes, future problems or the repair not holding were my concern. Steps are 17 years old. Replacement is the way I was leaning as well since the cost is not much more and I would rather have it done right when tearing it all up anyway. Thank you all for your input!

Hey there! We are replacing the vinyl liner in our in ground pool and also need step replacement or repair. There are tiny cracks in the steps where we were told the iron in the pool water is reacting with metal behind the stairs and causing black spots. The guy who is replacing our liner...

Ascorbic acid treatment SWG black stain on steps

I have read on here about both paper towls and polyfill removing sequestered iron from pools. My question is: If I do the ascorbic acid treatment to remove stains on the liner and steps, then use the sequestrant, can I use polyfill to try and remove the sequestered iron? Will I be able to tell...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Want to purchase a robot today. Have read through several threads on here. Probably will call Margaret! One question. Our neighbor let us try out his Dolphin Premeire and we loved it! Never had a robot before. Anyone know how that compares to the s200/s300? Thanks in advance for any responses!

Ascorbic acid treatmetn for salt water pool how to bring chlorine to 0?

Thank you for your reply! It's covering over half of the liner so will go through the whole routine. Too bad there isn't something like a dust mop infused with AA that you could 'brush' the pool with! Haha!

Ascorbic acid treatmetn for salt water pool how to bring chlorine to 0?

Hi Everyone! Quick question. I did the vitamin C test for Iron staining. That's my issue. Then read the article about the ascorbic acid/sequestrent treatment. Got it. One question. How do I take my chlorine to 0 or thereabouts with a salt water pool? Just shut off SWG and leave filter running...
