Blue clear water, but green stains inside pool

OK guys, using the Clorox Stabilizer is MUCH better than the stuff that came with my pool (must have been old...would not dissolve) I added about 5 lbs of it to bring my CYA up. Current measurements CYA 45-50 PH 7.0 (approximately) TA 50 (approximately--color STARTED to turn very light pink/red...

Blue clear water, but green stains inside pool

OK, I have put granulated stabilizer in a stocking in the skimmer and it did take a few days to dissolve. There has to be a better way than that....is there a brand of Stabilizer that dissolves easier ? Can I put it in a bucket of hot water and dissolve it that way ?

Thanks Texas! My local water does have iron however, the only water that has ever gone into the pool is water from a truck and rain water. What do you mean by a vitamin C tablet ? Cant I slam with a CYA less than 20 or even a CYA of 10 or less ? I am home and can monitor it. Also...can I...

Faulty GFCI Breaker and problem pool store...could use some advice.

I had another electrician install the new switch and it runs fine now. It was the original pool electricians work, and he refused to make it right (unless I would pay him to buy another new switch with NO WARRANTY). He's not ethical, nor is the store that recommended him. Live and learn.

OK my bad on the switch..that's the right model. but its 20 amp...not 50. Here is a pic of the box. The switch in there now is temporary. I ordered the Siemens GF20. On a side note, my electrician I am using now is very competent, he wires entire houses for a living, including mine.

There is a sub panel outside by the pump. The breaker is IN the sub panel along with the timer and there is an outlet on the side of the subpanel. . The link I provided earlier IS for the breaker in the panel. Here is the updated replacement part. Amazon description is wrong as it is 240 volt...

Faulty GFCI Breaker and problem pool store...could use some advice.

They should be but the pool store I went to are not standing behind the work of the contractors they recommended. They gave me a list of electricians they work with and I selected one. His claim is that the breaker has no warranty(which means he is either lying or got the part from an...

ok to be clear. this is a new pool and the electrical work is what came with the pool. It is less than 60 days old. There is a breaker https://www.amazon.com/Siemens-QF250-Interrupter-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B00002N7KN#customerReviews that will not stay on. Every time I turn it on, it...

Faulty GFCI Breaker and problem pool store...could use some advice.

Hi guys. The breaker for my pool pump keeps tripping even when the pump is not on. The electrician(who was a contractor) said it may be a bad breaker and he can replace but has to charge me for the breaker because he said his supplier offers no warranty. (sounds like Bull to me) . The pool store...

Merged threads. Hi guys. My pool pump keeps tripping the breaker so I may have a bad breaker. In the meantime, I have to take care of my pool. I have about 3 PPM of FC in it and PH is around 7.6. TA is around 90. I just added 64 oz of 10% bleach and swished it around with a skimmer net for a...
