I'll have to look during the day, but how would I "see" air bubbles with water rapidly being sucked in ? The basket is always full and the water is hitting the transparent lid.

Hey guys: I am about to close my pool. For the last month or so, I am getting a sporadic sputtering stream out of the return. Pressure seems to be fine on the pump, everything seems to work OK. I don't see any water leaking anywhere. Any idea what this could be ?

I definitely did prime, I added water into the pump basket for 2 minutes prior to running and also had a partner shoot the hose down the skimmer when I was running it. I am assuming that is what you mean by priming. Are you suggesting Saran Wrap to temporarily seal any suction leaks ?

I know...Im just wondering if air may be leaking thru the white part....Ill have to test the potential leak with some soap.
