Yeah, I didn't look at the date on the Chlorine...not did I test on the day I put it in (later that day). I suspect it was bad chlorine. My pool was pretty clear overall, just algae on the walls. Right now, I would say its Dang close to algae free and crystal clear.

yes another update... Well...I started the pump this morning. It does pull some water into the pump...but not enough to get a strong flow. I took the lid off, poured a bunch of water on top, closed, then it started working as normal. Once it gets going its fine...but getting it going on initial...

UPDATE: Took the pump lid off, put a screwdriver in near the impeller and manually turned it a bit...didnt really feel much resistance or get much out but I primed the pump and closed it up and it started to run again. I backwashed for a few minutes and then rinsed. We will see what it does...

well...looks like it is clogged up again. I tried backwashing and then rinsing again but barely any water came out of the filter and it seems now that water is not filling to the top of the pump basket. So...I am guessing that maybe my impeller may be clogged ? Can I just turn the pump off and...

Hey guys: I am about to close my pool. For the last month or so, I am getting a sporadic sputtering stream out of the return. Pressure seems to be fine on the pump, everything seems to work OK. I don't see any water leaking anywhere. Any idea what this could be ?
