    Converting to SWG

Oh, I thought for sure the increased pressure was due to adding the salt & that running the pump longer would help dissolve it. Pool is super clean & clear. I am chlorinating the pool per the cart for non-SWCG pools. FC ~ 3, PH - 7.3, TA - 80, CYA is ~ 30. I am trying to raise CYA but the...

    Converting to SWG

I poured 2 bags into the pool as I walked the permiter, then brushed. Morton's pool salt. Right now I am relying on pool stores for salinity, my Taylor kit is due to arrive tomorrow. 1 store read 750, another 1000.

    Converting to SWG

I am changing from liquid chlorine to CircuPool RJ-60 PLUS Salt Chlorine Generator. Needed to raise salt from about 750 to ~ 3500 in my 24000 gal in ground pool. Normal clean filter pressure = 17psi. After adding two 40lb bags of pool salt, pressure rose to ~ 24psi. I did backwash before adding...

1st Test Results with TF100 Kit - What should I do now?

Wow, very helpful - thank you. So are my FC's O.K.? Too Hi? I am going to stop using my chlorinator. Should I start to add bleach immediately ow wait until FC's measurement requires additional chlorine? What is the sweet spot for FC's?

1st Test Results with TF100 Kit - What should I do now?

The water looks very clear. I will do the diluted CYA teat today when I get home. So I should stop using tabs completely? What should my CC be? If I turn chlorinator of completely, I assume CC will drop & when desired level is achieved, I can maintain with bleach added directly to pool?

New Pool owner - Chemistry Help - Cloudy Water

TF-100 test kit already ordered! Water exchange sounds daunting. Is there a calculation that tells me how much to drain? Does my tap water contain CYA? I do have wrinkles in liner and draining would allow me to possibly correct them.

New Pool owner - Chemistry Help - Cloudy Water

I bought a new home with a 16x32 IG pool. Closed it last fall with phone help from previous owner. Opened O.K. & initial pool store tests consistently showed low CH (130), hi CYA (100), lo TA (70), & hi Pho (300). Water was crystal clear up to fathers day when it had it's 1st heavy use of the...
